Great headphones, Great value. Beware! your spouse may "steal" them from you!
This is my second purchase of headphones from this company, Tayogo. The first pair were bone conducting headphones I use for swimming and I was very happy with them. These headphones are for sports. I use them for audiobooks, music and talking on the phone. The sound quality is great for all of these. In phone conversations, the other side has been able to hear me very clearly. Music and voice are also clear and enjoyable. I've used these headphones for several long bike rides so far. They are so lightweight I forget they are on.
My wife recently "stole" them from me, and has decided to replace her iphone headphones with these when she goes on a run.. .and around the house..
The battery lasts a long time. I would estimate it to be something like 6 hours. And it charges quickly. I did not time it, but I think I charged it for about an hour and it seemed to be fully charged.
One notable thing about these headphones is that they seem to instantly connect to bluetooth. As soon as they turn on it beeps and is connected to my phone. We did run into a little bit of confusion when my wife had them connected to her phone and then gave them to me and the headphones got confused as to which phone to connect to. I guess that is more of a bluetooth problem than a headphone problem.
All in all, these are amazing headphones. I am very happy with my purchase!!
Best headphones for mulitasking and listening to music while staying alert to your environment!
I am an avid music listener and I always get crap from people who are try to say something to me while I have headphones on and I cannot hear them. These headphones allow me to get the best of both worlds and stay in touch with what is going on without losing my tunes. They are very comfortable since there isn't anything going into you ears. My girlfriend and I both love using these at the gym. Would highly recommend!
Interesting Concept
I've never used bone conducting headphones before. I liked the idea of being able to hear my surroundings while biking, skiing or paddle boarding.
If you're used to in ear headphones and the sound they bring immediately you'll be disappointed at first. However, go ahead and push those ear plugs they supply into your ears and you'll hear that rich sound you're used to. The bad part of that is to get that rich sound you have to actually plug your ears with ear plugs which is why most bought these headphones to begin with, to be ABLE to hear their surroundings. The good news is the sound isn't bad without the plugs in your ears, just not as "loud". So they actually accomplish what I've wanted which is music / sound without drowning out the sounds in my surroundings.
When you're at the gym and don't care about those surrounding sounds just pop those ear plugs in and turn the volume down a little (yeah, it's even loud inside your head). Get to working out with that rich sound of in ear head phones.
So, in short, I bought these to go skiing and not have to pop my in ear stereo plugs in and out to hear my surroundings or only wear one ear plug to enjoy my music while still having a conversation or hearing things around me for safety. Aesthetically they're very comfortable but when I put them on you hardly know they're there. When I put my ski helmet on they seem to press into my jaw a little - need to work on that part for comfort for all day skiing. They work perfectly with my bike helmet and sit properly. Wish I could reel in the wire a little behind my head as it does catch on the hoodie if I'm wearing a hoodie or hood and presses a little which can be annoying if not properly seated.
All in all, sound quality is good. Haven't used the microphone portion yet but will update once I've used it for a phone call or two. Good quality option if you're not into spending $80-$150 on bone conducting headphones when you've never used them before. This is a good introduction into this style of headphones. Likely will never spend more than $30-$50 on this type of headphones when there are quality options like this.
